BJP to replace state president, Damu front runner

Bharatiya Janata Party will change its state president since existing president Laxmikant Parsekar has now become a minister.
Defeated former Fatorda MLA Damu Naik a front runner in the race.
Parsekar confirmed that he cannot hold two positions – state president and the minister as per the convention the party follows.
“The decision in this regard would be taken shortly”, he said.
Damu, when asked in this regard, declined to comment whether he is prepared to take up the responsibility.
“I am prepared to take any responsibility the party tells me”, he said.
