Victoria to contest Ind, Sawal trying for BJP

Victoria & Rudolph Fernandes

Two Congress leaders – Victoria Fernandes from St Cruz and Naresh Sawal from Bicholim – have decided to revolt against the party, for denying him the party ticket.

Congress has declared Taleigao MLA Babush Monseratte as St Cruz candidate.

Similarly, former BJP MLA Rajesh Patnekar, who had quit the party to join the Congress, would be Bicholim candidate.

Victoria now plans to field her son Rudolph as an independent candidate.

Rudolph alleged that Babush has been fielded as the candidate of builders’ lobby.

Victoria and Rudolph have declared that they would quit the Congress along with 2500 St Cruz block members.

On the other hand, Naresh Sawal, who had contested as the Congress candidate in last election, is planning to contest as BJP candidate.

“I have already started talking to the BJP leaders. The Congress has ditched me”, said Sawal.

The Congress, till now, has declared only 22 seats while denying tickets to sitting MLA Victoria and former Congress candidate Sawal.

More revolts are possible once Congress declares all the seats, since there are too many aspirants in the Congress.

It is to be seen whether the BJP or some other party accommodates them.

The BJP, interestingly, has not yet declared its candidates.

finally Naresh Sawal get out from congress party as assembly ticket has been denied by congress. And now he is trying to get in BJP! In my view this person not loyal to congress party. His intention is only to get elected and make money.make known he lost last assembly election from Bicholim against Patnekar.now congress know him he has no public support not even from his birth place Menkure village!!everybody from Menkure Sal knows he is selfish and proudy!!
