VHP Int. meet in Goa to debate on terming saffrons as terrorists

The issue of saffron terror will be discussed during the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s international conference in Goa scheduled in January, a senior functionary said.

VHP’s national vice president Ashok Chowgule told reporters in Panaji that the conference slated from January 04 to January 9 at Ramnathi village, 30 kms away from here will be discussing vital issues including branding of Hindu organisations as terrorist outfits.

He said the issue of Jammu and Kashmir and Ram Janmabhoomi will also be discussed during the conference.

Chowgule termed act of terming Hindu organisations as terror outfits as a `conspiracy by vested interests to defame Hindu organisations and divide the country.’

The conference wil have VHP international president Ashok Singhal, international working president Shreenivas Vedamanti,  international general secretaries Dr Pravin Togadia and Swami Vigyanand participating in it.

Meanwhile, the VHP has condemned All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Rahul Gandhi's statement on Hindu extremists, terming it as a vote bank politics.

"His statement is a symbol of vote bank politics which the Congress is playing,"  Chowgule told reporters.

He said that Congress is not asking execution of death penalty for terrorists like Afzhal Guru and Ajmal Kasab but are interested in casting allegations against Hindu saints and organisations.

Gandhi in a conversation with US ambassador Timothy Roemer has alleged to have said that radicalised Hindu groups posed a threat to India.

Chowgule said that they (congress) is only trying to defame Hindu organisations for electoral gain.

He said that VHP's convention in Goa scheduled on January 4 will extensively deliberate on the issue of saffron terrorism.

As per the diplomatic leaks released by WikiLeaks, Gandhi had made the controversial remarks last year to the US ambassador.

The saffron is the color of our Flag! How can the saffron be attributed to terror?

The terror has no color! All acts of terror need to be punished severely!

Dividing the society for political mileage -on the basis of cast/religion etc- need to be condemned strongly!

The burning problems facing the country today are the growing corruption, crimes, rapes, drug abuse, destruction of environments for selfish motives, deliberately creating rift in the society etc and those problems need to be attended on priority!
