Whose portfolios will Arlekar get? Wait till Monday!

GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 01 October 2015 18:51 IST

The important news – whose portfolios newly sworn in minister Rajendra Arlekar would take – needs to be awaited till Monday.

Chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar today told the media after the swearing in ceremony that the portfolio reallocation would be announced on 5 October.

“I will talk to all the ministers and then decide about portfolio reallocation”, he said.

The reallocation exercise would not be a mere routine exercise but a strong political message the BJP plans to send to its allies, especially the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party.

Arlekar, who was enjoying a VVIP status all this time as the speaker, needs to be given very important portfolios to maintain his seniority in the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

While stepping down to the position of a VIP, Arlekar would also be pushed down to number four position in the cabinet, after deputy chief minister and MGP leader Sudin Dhawalikar.

Some of the BJP cadres however claim that the party leadership would seize this opportunity to strip off Dhawalikar of important portfolios of PWD and Transport.

The demand is strengthening day by day since MGP is making a headway in several BJP bastions, including Arlekar's Pernem.

CM Parsekar however prefers to maintain silence over his expected action by Monday.

Probably a final decision in this regard would be taken after consulting defence minister Manohar Parrikar and other senior leaders of the party.

as per my thinking Arleakar will get education and one post of PWD or transport . My second opinion is BJP may not hurt Sudin Dhavlikar as they want to continue with MGP in forth coming elections .

However some sections of the BJP do not want MGP in coming elections .lat us see what steps Parseakar takes .with the consent of Parrrikar bab
