CM misled Pawar for my resignation: Mickky

PTI, PANAJI | 28 July 2010 23:28 IST

Former tourism minister Mickky Pacheco, an accused in the Nadia Torrado death case, today lashed out at Chief Minister Digambar Kamat for "misleading" the NCP leadership over his resignation.

CM Kamat however flatly denied of having spoken to either NCP president Sharad Pawar or Praful Patel about his case, after Mickky made a brief statement in the Assembly today.

After he was released on bail, Mickky today entered the Assembly to attend the session.

He has also offered to resign as the MLA even if single evidence is collected by the police that he is responsible for Nadia's death.

Mickky dared the state home ministry to show any evidence highlighting his involvement in Nadia's death.

"I was pressurised to resign or I was told that I would be dismissed," Mickky said.

"Chief Minister (Kamat) had told my leader Sharad Pawar that they have clinching evidence in this issue," said the Benaulim MLA.

The chief minister, who belongs to the Congress "had misled" NCP's national leaders in this case, he claimed.

"If this government produces any document besides my involvement to save Nadia's life, I will resign as MLA, otherwise chief minister should make a statement or take action against the police department," the NCP legislator said.

Going a step ahead, Mickky also demanded the arrest of state Home Minister Ravi Naik's son in the drug nexus case.

"There are allegations that the Home Minister's son is involved in the drug nexus. I was arrested when allegations were levelled against me. Why is the minister's son not being arrested? Let him come clean if he is not guilty," he said. is now on Telegram & also Youtube. Kindly subscribe for free & remain updated.

Mr. CM

You know Goa and goans language declared

konkani. You have to give more priority and effort to promote konkani and not marathi which you said Marathi acadamy. These type

of goans are not in favour of konkani but back door marathi. Like Bandodkar want to merge Goa to Mahrashtra but his dream and fullfilment was not suceed because of Dr. Jack Sequire (Hero of Goa). Still the route existing and most of them we all know. Do not even think CM and your supporter to bring again marathi issue in Goa. Not even use about marathi. Marathi language is in Mahrashtra and Goa.

In Goa one thing is good. You will find a section of people who will be backing blindly the rapists, murderers, corrupt without any principles because those are the voters who have been purchased by the corrupt politicians or in other words, it is their vote bank and no matter what their leader will do, they will always back him like a faithful dog because they have been sold out for the bread crumbs which are thrown at them by the corrupt politicians by looting the Govt. money! Long live goan politics!
