GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 23 January 2016 19:56 IST

Goa’s Deputy Speaker Vishnu Surya Wagh has urged for a training institute for MPs, MLAs and MLCs.
“Lok Sabha should take initiative in this regard so that it helps better and fruitful participation in the House proceedings”, said Wagh.
He made this demand at a national conclave in Gujarat of the speakers, deputy speakers and legislative secretaries, also attended by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.
He participated in one of the deliberations to find measures to improve quality of House debates and ensure members’ attendance.
Wagh also suggested that every Assembly sets up an archive of audio and video clippings of the earlier proceedings as a reference material for future generations.
The session was chaired by Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagde and Gujarat Dy Speaker Atmaram Parmar.
