AAP becomes HUM; repair Ponda Mayor’s roads in Ponda
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 23 November 2015 20:36 IST

After waiting impatiently to get the roads with potholes repaired, Aam Aadmi Party doesn’t come on the road to protest, but actually repair the roads.
The young activists of AAP did it in Ponda, that too in the chairperson Radhika Naik’s ward.
No media called, no people gathered. On Sunday, a holiday when there is less traffic on the road, the youth wing of AAP picked up the tools and marched to Ward No 11 of Ponda to fill the potholes with rubble and mud.
A press note released by youth wing co-ordinator Suhani Shah, the initiative was taken by its Ponda youth co-ordinator Mayur Arsekar and Vishwesh Naik.
Brahmanand Naik, Rama Kankonkar, Pushpesh Naik and Pravit Naik also helped them in filling all the potholes.
Surprised with the work of AAP and locals appreciating their voluntary job, two local councillors - Shivanand Sawant and Vincent Paul Fernandes – passing by went and met the AAP volunteers.
Informing them that the repair work has already begun, the councillors also assured AAP volunteers to take up the repair work and hotmixing of the roads in Ward 11 shortly.
As per Shah's press release, the AAP decided to take up the work themselves after being subjected to dismal quality of roads in many parts of Ponda.
