The Press Information Bureau of Government of India is going hi-tech with the help of social media, to cover the 46th edition of the International Film Festival of India, beginning in Goa from 20 November.
Ira Joshi, one of the Additional Directors General of PIB, today listed out several initiatives it has taken to take the IFFI to the whole world, including the media.
Around 230 media persons, belonging to Print, TV, Radio and Internet, have already registered with the PIB to cover the Goa IFFI, physically.
But the PIB has made plans to reach out the whole world through social media including Facebook, Twitter and You Tube.
In addition, Damu Naik, vice chairman of Entertainment Society of Goa, today launched a new PIB App of IFFI, but only for the Android users.
The twitter handle for IFFI - IFFI_2015 or #iffi2015 - will also start taking questions from the media at the live press conferences held at its media room in Goa.
In addition, Joshi said all the press conferences would also be telecast Live on You Tube.
The PIB has also made arrangements to show movie clips of those who address the press conferences.
In addition, as usual, the Doordarshan will telecast Live the opening ceremony of IFFI even this year.
