Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said that those involved in the alleged multi-crore irrigation scam would not be spared by his government.
"The state anti-corruption bureau has been asked to probe the multi-crore irrigation scam in Maharashtra. The ACB has already started massive inquiry into it," Fadnavis said at the ongoing 'Women Economic Forum' here.
"I assure that every single person who is involved in it, how so high he may be, will be punished," he said.
"All those found guilty in the scam would be investigated and booked. Maharashtra government will not spare anyone in the case," the Chief Minister said.
The investigating agencies are probing the alleged involvement of former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and senior NCP leader Sunil Tatkare in the irrigation scam.
