Locals more 'Goans' than those living 'outside': Parrikar
PTI, PANAJI | 27 December 2014 20:56 IST

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar today said that people who are living in Goa are far more Goans than those who express concerns about the state living away from it.
The film, directed by Swapnil Shetkar takes a dig at the increasing sale of land to outsiders by locals.
Parrikar, however, said he has lot of respect for people living away from Goa but are concerned about their homeland.
"Somewhere we have to take a call. Our uniqueness should be maintained. Only Goans can do it," he said.

Mr Parrikar, do you really have to lecture Goans and keep lecturing us on what is plain common sense.(and then claim you have been misquoted by the Press).
Do you really assume that all Goans ,home & abroad are mentally retarded and devoid of common sense.
Those that worry about Goa from afar are worried about the levels of corruption you i and you mobsters and gangsters are involved in.
Who has plundered all Goa`s wealth. Goans abroad?
I will assume that now you are based in New Delhi, you too are less of a Goan.

Yes i agree with your comments, but what have you done to improve things in Goa other than politics, for Goans to remain behind. What are the things in terms of Infrastructure that have improved? In terms of Job's what's the story ?
Making comments is easy but deliverying the contents of those is not always easy.
And who are you to Judge people who are away and make comments. Your party at the center does not respect the constitution where it clearly mentions " freedom of religion", maybe now at the state level there would not be freedom of speech. You may consider a lot of things which does not matter to all. Even i may consider a lot of things but they may not always be right.
For now you should speak at the National level and not interfere in state politics. I have not seen one strong comment from you at the National level, which is your role. There are people in the state make comments for the state.
