Columbian actress Angela Garcia wants to try her luck in Indian films and would love to be part of woman-centric movies.
Angela, who was in Goa for IFFI with the film 'Los Hongos', said the people in South America are well versed with Indian film stars and admire their style of acting.
"This is my first India visit. My experience is lovely and amazing. I will love to work in Indian films. May be, I would like to do some movies on women and how they are treated in the society. The script would be from India perspective," the actress told PTI.
Angela said she is well versed with Indian cinema as her countrymen watch it, specially Bollywood.
"In one of the private TV channels they play Bollywood," she added.
'Log Hongos' screened at the International Cinema section of the festival is about a Colombian city Cali and shows how people belonging to various sub-cultures in a city, express themselves through various art forms, graffiti, music and others.
"As an actress you want to reach to every kind of movie," she said adding that during the festival she has been trying to catch different kind of movies.
She said that 'Los Hongos', which is a film by award-winning director Oscar Ruiz Navia, was shot in a very non-conventional way as actors were not given any pre-written scripts and had little or no rehearsals.
On being asked about the film industry in Colombia, Angela said it is not so big as in India and does not get much support from the government.
The TV industry is very huge in Colombia so much so it also produces for TV in the US, she added.
'Los Hongos' is the second feature film by Director Oscar Navia.
