Won't reverse John's decisions: Luizinho
PTI, PANAJI | 21 October 2014 18:43 IST

Luizinho Faleiro, the new chief of Goa Congress, today said he would not reverse the decisions taken by his predecessor, John Fernandes.
"I have received a letter from All India Congress Committee's Goa desk in-charge Digvijay Singh to revamp Goa Pradesh Congress Committee. But I am not going to change anything right now," Faleiro said while speaking to PTI here.
"I am not here to undo what my predecessor has done. But I am yet to see the file of disciplinary committee that had taken action against the leaders," he added.
The committee, appointed by the state Congress, had taken action against former power minister Aleixo Sequeira, suspended chief of Goa Youth Congress Valanka Alemao, former minister Ravi Naik and former MP Fransisco Sardinha.
Faleiro said the disciplinary committee members told him that the file was with Fernandes.
"I don't know whether the file has been submitted to the high command or it is still with him," the new chief said, adding that to take action against the leaders or induct new faces was always the prerogative of the Congress President.
Amid internal bickering in the Goa Congress, Fernandes was replaced by Faleiro a fortnight ago.
