Cong suspends Alex Sequeira for anti-party stance

Goa Congress today suspended its leader and former Power Minister Aleixo Sequeira for "anti party" activities, and initiated disciplinary action against him.

"Sequeira has been placed under suspension until appropriate disciplinary proceeding initiated against him are completed," state party President John Fernandes said.

Goa Congress spokesman Pratima Coutinho, while announcing the action, said Sequeira had been often involved in "anti-party" activities, including a bid to topple the party-led government, which helped BJP leader Manohar Parrikar to form a Government some years ago.

The move comes a day after Sequeira publicly demanded suspension of Fernandes, holding him responsible for the current state of affairs in the Opposition party, which received severe drubbing in the 2012 Assembly polls and also this year's Lok Sabha election in Goa.

Sequeira had publicly criticised the disciplinary action initiated by the party against South Goa District President Subhash Faldesai for working against the party candidate in the recently held Lok Sabha election.

"Sequeira should have very well expressed his anguish within the party forum, but not in public," said Coutinho.

Sequeira was defeated by Goa Vikas Party Mickky Pacheco in 2012 election in his home constituency - Nuvem.

If many of the Congress MLA`s were either in the Indian Army or any other Army for that matter, they would be tried for Gross dis-obedience and high treason and be jailed.

In some Countries, like China, they would be summarily executed.

Most of the Congress MLA`s from historical experience are not in it to serve the Party or voters(People). Their sole purpose is to enrichen themselves.

Every Congress MLA is a multi- Millionaire or Multi -Crorepati.

Many Congress MLA`s own huge tracts of Land/ estate and many have also become industrialists.

as for Alexio Sequeira, he has his fortunes buried in Breweries/bottling plants and Hotels.

Who has benefitted from all this the most???
