Goa Congress has suspended the president of State Youth Congress Valanka Alemao, for anti-party activities during the Lok Sabha elections of 2014.
Ms. Alemao, daughter of senior Goa Congress leader and former Minister Churchill Alemao, was facing charges of anti-party activities.
The party felt that Ms. Alemao, did not support the official Congress candidate in south Goa constituency Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco.
Instead, she allegedly campaigned for her father Churchill Alemao, who had rebelled and fought the election as an independent candidate after Ms. Alemao was denied ticket by the party.
However, Ms. Alemao has alleged harassment and torture by the Goa Congress party.

Why Valanka tried to stick to the chair in Youth Congress, I do not understand.
She should have resigned on her own as President of the Youth Congress and openly worked for her father Churchill instead of pretending to work for Congress in Delhi.
Everybody knows that she did nothing for Congress candidate in South Goa. If she is still in Congress, her priority should have been Congress in Goa, not in other states.
Naturally, she should have left the Youth Congress and worked for her father openly instead of pretending to support Congress and in reality doing nothing for Congress.
That would the right think to do instead of waiting to be suspended and then making allegations of harassment.
