India already a Hindu nation, I'm Christian Hindu: Francis

PTI, PANAJI | 25 July 2014 18:33 IST

A day after a Goa minister ignited a controversy by his remark that India will develop as a Hindu nation under Narendra Modi, the state's Deputy Chief Minister Francis D'Souza on Friday stoked it further, saying India is already a Hindu nation and will always remain so.

"India is a Hindu nation. There is no doubt about it. It was a Hindu nation and will always stay a Hindu nation," D’Souza, a senior BJP leader said reacting to the controversy triggered by his cabinet colleague Dipak Dhavalikar.

Dhavalikar, whose party Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party is an ally of state's ruling BJP, had on Thursday said he was confident India will develop as a Hindu nation under Prime Minister Modi.

"I am confident that under the leadership of Modiji, India will develop into a Hindu nation. Prime Minister will work in this regard is what I feel," he had said in the state assembly while speaking on a motion congratulating Modi on the electoral victory.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that Dhavalikar's statement has been misunderstood.

"India is a Hindu country. India is Hindustan. All Indians in Hindustan are Hindus including me. I am a Christian Hindu. I am a Hindustani. So you don’t have to make India a Hindu nation," he argued.

D’Souza said, "People are free to make controversies out of anything. India is a free country. We have to take everybody together, it is inclusive democracy."

Hi Ramakant. Warm greetings to you.

There is no point filing a FIR on these Goan clowns.

With recent remarks /statements coming from the Dhavilikar Brothers and now Dy. CM Francis D'Souza & possibly more to follow, I will live you to reflect on some quotes by some famous people.

These quotes best describes these 3 " very Rich Goan Fruit-cakes".

1. Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something. - Plato

2.There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action. - Goethe

3.A great many people think they are thinking when they are merely rearranging their prejudices. - William James

and finally...

4.Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege

Goa Church Should Immediately Excommunicate Them And Set Example For Others. It Is Better To Have Only One Honest Christian In The Church Than To Have Hundred Corrupt and Communal Christians In The Church.

All these years Bishop, Priests & Nuns were telling lies to the Goans that they are Christians. Thanks Francis D’souza for exposing them and opening Goans eyes and informing Goans that Bishop, Priests & Nuns are Hindus and not Christians. Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists & Christians Who are born in India are Hindus as per Francis D’souza. Keep the good work Mr. Francis D’souza.

Deputy Francis D'Souza once again does not seem to know "which side of his bread should be Buttered.

Oh yes!! people are free to make controversies. What does he have to say about those nut cases that file FIR`s on Facebook comments?.

I have heard of a HIndu, I have heard about a Muslim ,I have even heard about a Sikh & a Parsi and a Jain and Buddhist. But I have never heard about a Hindu Christian.

To educate Dy Cm Francis D`souza...I hope he understands the difference between a Hindu which pertains to his religious belief and a Hindustani...which pertains to his Country .
