MoI-fame youth to stage street plays, supporting AAP

A group of youth, known as Get Well Soon and now Goa Rakhan Manch, has supported AAP and will start staging street play for public awareness.
The group, comprising of college students and youngsters, has been fighting for making Konkani (and Marathi) the medium of instruction at primary level.
As the Congress government had decided to give government grants to English medium primary schools, the group members had actively campaigned for the Bharatiya Janata Party, during 2012 Assembly election.
The GRM has however now turned hostile to the BJP government after chief minister Manohar Parrikar continued the Congress policy on MoI.
“We have now decided to support AAP as it has taken a right stand that the issue of MoI should be decided by the educationists and not the politicians, with vested interest”, said Yugank Naik, at a press conference today.
“We want to defeat both the Congress and the BJP”, said Adv Surel Tilve, the GRM convenor.
The GRM has also taken into consideration the integrity, credibility, honesty and selfless service rendered by both the AAP candidates – Dr Dattaram Desai and Adv Swati Kerkar – as social activists.
Rajdip Naik, another GHM leader and a theatre personality, announced that they would come out with a street play this week, to be staged all over the state.
“We will also upload the street play on the Facebook for online viewing”, he said.
