Shenoi Goembab anniversary begins

Today is the 125th Birth Anniversary of Shenoi Goembab, Goa's great philanthropist of the millennium.
The Goa Government, under the leadership of Mr Manohar Parrikar, has announced to celebrate the whole year, officially.
A symposium, Shenoi Goembab's Vision and Relevance will be held in the morning, depicting various facets of Shenoi Goembab, as a historian, linguist and a philosopher.
Adv Shantaram Naik, leader of the Congress, will inaugurate the symposium. Narayan Desai, Madhavi Sardesai and Tanaji Halarnkar will present the papers.
A formal inaugural function will be held in the evening, at 4 pm, to be inaugurated at the hands of chief minister Mr Parrikar. Power minister Digambar Kamat and Cortalim MLA Mathany Saldhana will also grace the occasion.
