Mopa villagers support air port

Villagers of Mopa have wholeheartedly decided to support Mopa air port and participate in the agitation supporting the new international air port coming up in their village.
Ashok Parab, the sole panch of Mopa belonging to Ugvem-Tamboshem village panchayat in Pernem taluka, has also alleged that Sandip Kambli is neither from Mopa nor he has been authorised by the villagers to speak on behalf of Mopa.
These facts were revealed when the People for Mopa International Airport (PMA), a newly formed organisation of Pernem people, visited the Mopa village.
They were found to be critical of Kambli, who has been addressing all the meetings of Goans Only for Dabolim (GOD), the organisation formed in Salcete to oppose Mopa air port.
“Sandip is spoiling the name of our Mopa village and we will not tolerate it any more”, Parab told PMA activists, at a meeting held at Vetal temple in Mopa.
Pramod Parab, former sarpanch of the village, also assured the PMA members in the presence of the villagers that the whole village is in support of Mopa air port.
He in fact also revealed that a group of people from Salcete had come to Mopa.
“They were trying to pollute our minds but we would not pay heed to it”, said the former sarpanch.
They have wholeheartedly supported the agitation of PMA in support of Mopa air port.
PMA convenor Devendra Prabhudesai thanked the villagers for their support and appealed to them to participate in their public meetings in support of Mopa air port.

I am really amused with the level of Gyan that people give in support of Mopa airport.
Firstly, bhatkars like Prabhudesais and Deshprabhus of Pernem, agents of Portuguese in the past to usurp the land are bound to support Mopa as their land will get a better rate.
The modern concept of airport at Mopa is known as the aerotropolis. All greenfield airports of the future would be built around this concept. Aerotropolis proposes to have an airport in the centre with the urban development. in the periphery several miles. For more details please go through:

Considering the tiny size of Goa this proposed Bhasmasur would devour the entire state.
We know that earthlings will have to abandon mother earth to settle down on other livable planets in the universe after 500 years. MP, the visionary is expediting the process. May be as an IITan he has foreseen everything and he is getting Goans ready to take a leap into the future . Of course the promised wonderland might pay more dividends to his chums on agri 'cultural' land, enriched with the fertilizers from the Nagpur factory, than mere and meager few crores for a 200 sq. mts. agri 'cultural' plot.

Once somebody has an Idea for development of the State/Country, the Experts in the field has to be consulted about the feasibility and benefits to the State and Local Citizens. Then all Goans should debate the issue and in this case it is Mopa Airport. This is waste of resources and time.
Who is creating these issues ? Who pays for all this ?
Then the Government moans and complains that they have no money to pay for the salaries...
Goans wake up and do what is best for Goa.
If One Good Ruler can rule Goa why we need 40 MLA's ?
Take example of Switzerland Democracy.

Mopa will not only close the Dabolim Airport but also Mopa will make Goans to go hungry with the Drought which will occur by losing the fertile land and farmers. Mopa will take huge fertile land, which will be very bad for Goa. The tragedy happened to the people of Khedernath can happened to the people of Goa, if Mopa starts. Stop Mopa. Save Goa.

It is really a great news for Goans. we do not want Goa to be divided over any issues. But I have seen for last few years ..some anti national elements area creating disturbance over any issues. Rather than discussing that i assured north Goans that they will be benefitted from this Airport. The number of tourist will increase so also tourist spot which are presently hidden like Hivrem,movacho gundo at valpoi or saptakoteshvar at bicholim etc will be appear out while finding new natural spot in north Goa. Also there can be good demand for our local products such as ..panas poli,amba poli, jackfruit, different pickles etc. Let us all support Mopa and throw out people like churchill alemao.vijay sardessai and other religious leaders who engaged in unnecessary politics rather than working for religion.
