Secular BJP MLAs frustrated, claims NCP

The Nationalist Congress Party has claimed it would get all the secular-minded activists and leaders within the BJP in their party fold.
“There are at least seven to eight secular-minded Hindu MLAs in the BJP who are frustrated”, claimed Trajano D’Mello, the chief spokesperson of the local party unit.
When asked whether the NCP would import its party candidate for North Goa also in the forthcoming Lok Sabha election, D’Mello quipped: “no plans to import right now.”
When asked whether these frustrated MLAs also include the one who is holding talks with the NCP leadership (Vishnu Wagh), he said ‘that person is definitely secular-minded, but there are also other MLAs.’
According to Trajano, there are Hindu MLAs in the BJP, besides the Christian ones, who are today frustrated over the communal agenda pushed forward by the BJP.
“One of the MLAs even referred to one Dhond, who is becoming an obstacle (called Dhond – धोंड - in Marathi) in BJP’s progress towards a secular society.”
It could be BJP organizing secretary Satish Dhond, he said, since he belongs to the RSS and is holding top position in the party.
D’Mello in fact felt that chief minister Manohar Parrikar has come out with his communal colours openly by supporting Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi for the campaign chief’s post during the national executive meeting held in Goa recently.
He reminded how the Goa BJP had kept Modi away from the election campaign during the Assembly election to hoodwink Goans and win over the secular-minded people.
“After coming to power, Parrikar has now removed the mask of a sheep and the real communal wolf is now fully visible”, he said.
The Modi-Advani episode has also proved beyond doubt that the BJP, even today, is fully controlled by the RSS and the BJP is a mere front of the communal organisation, said D’Mello.
He thus claimed that many workers and leaders, who had joined the BJP out of frustration, would now come and join the NCP.
