GCCI Com elected unopposed under Nana

The new managing committee of the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the presidentship of Narayan Bandekar, was declared today elected unopposed.
The new Committee will assume office from July.
Director General R S Kamat said the committee would function for two years, till 2015.
Earlier, Vasco-based industrialist Bandekar was already declared elected unopposed as the president.
Bandekar, popularly knows as Nanabab, is also the President of Goa Mining Association & Vice President of Goa Mineral Ore Exporters’ Association.
He is the founder Chairman & Managing Director of the NRB Group.
The rest of 14 members were declared elected unopposed.
It includes former GCCI president Nitin Kunkolienkar, Sandip Bhandare, Manoj Caculo, Pratima Dhond , Ralph De Souza, Joseph D’Souza, Chandrakant Gawas, Capt. Bruno D’Souza, Kirit Maganlal, Yatin Kakodkar, Nigel Cabral as well as new faces like Harshvardhan Bhatkuly, Sandip Sood and Vikram Verlekar.
The members represent a wide variety of sectors like IT, Taxation, Automobile, Tourism, Retail, Agriculture, Mining, Logistics, Shipbuilding , Gold & Jewellery and Mass Communication Media.
In view of the members getting elected unopposed, the GCCI has said the election scheduled on 16 June has been deferred.
