Pune-based Asian School of Cyber Laws (ASCL) has branched out in Goa introducing courses in the cyber laws and cyber crime detection starting from June this year.
“This is an important step considering that the education about cyber laws and practicality of detecting cyber crimes is at its low ebb in Goa,” said K S Borkar, Territory Manager (Goa), ASCL.
The new venture, he said, would produce a new generation of cyber crime experts and cyber crime detectors, who can either start their own consultancy or work for a state law enforcement agencies.
ASCL which will start its courses from June 22, this year, will introduce courses like – Advanced Program in Cyber Laws, Cyber Crime Investigator and Digital Evidence Analyst.
“These are knowledge based courses which can either make someone skilled to take up his own consultancy or hone up the skills,” he said.
The ASCL has trained the faculty members who will be trained to work on the projects during their course.
“We also intend to join hands with Goa police to train them further in cyber crime and cyber laws,” he said, adding that similar exercises have been held with the law enforcement authorities in places like Nagpur and Hyderbad in past.
