The Konkan Fruit Fest would shift to Margao this year, from Panaji.

The Botanical Society of Goa has decided to have it in association with BPS Club in Margao.

The three-day Fest will be held from 10 to 12 May.

The Konkan Fruit Fest is held every year during summer season, promoting the fruits grown during summer.

It includes seasonal fruits like mangoes, cashew, jackfruit, kokum, kannam, jamblam etc.

Besides displaying the fruits of different varieties, especially of mangoes, the Fest also exhibits juices, syrups and wines made of it.

The Fest exhibits and sells the products and also makes available the seeds to the farmers.

Even demonstrations of methods of preserving the fruits are held at the Fest, making it equally educational.

Around 20,000 people visit the Fest every year from all over Goa.
