Sagun loses Goa Captainship

Sagun Kamat has finally lost his Goa captainship permanently.
He was recently suspended for assaulting a player Kashinath Chari, pending inquiry.
Sagun was a Ranaji Captain for Goa as well as the captain of Dempo Cricket Club.
Goa Cricket Association vice president Dr Shekhar Salkar confirmed that the inquiry report had held Kamat guilty.
He has been also debarred from playing two first class matches.
On the other hand, the inquiry committee of GC A has also penalized Chari with a fine of Rs 2500 and cut his two-day salary.
Kamat had assaulted Chari, the GCA employee, on 21 April at BITS Pilani ground during a Premier League match between Sunny Club and Dempo Cricket Club, captained by Kamat.
The inquiry committee headed by Dr Salkar stated that both of them are guilty of misconduct.
The committee, also comprising of Atul Naik and Chetan Desai, also heard other witnesses before coming to conclusion.
