GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 18 April 2013 20:09 IST

All the land survey maps would be made available online latest by March next year.
Goa government’s website of Directorate of Settlement & Land Records presently provides most of the details pertaining to forms and mutation status.
Details of 11 villages of Quepem taluka however remain to be updated, said chief minister Manohar Parrikar.
He said the work of preparing land survey maps was stalled for almost three years since 2005, during the Congress regime, for no reason.
“It started again by 2009 and the ground survey work is now complete”, he informed the House.
It would now go for public objections, with each taluka to be notified for it one by one every two months, he added.
Parrikar also informed that the website gets almost 100 hits per day and has received around 26,000 hits till date.
While maximum people visiting are from India, Parrikar said Goans residing in USA, Australia, UK and Gulf countries have also been visiting the site regularly.
