CM unaware of whom Ravindra Bhavan, Sancoale belongs to
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 12 April 2013 14:43 IST

Chief minister Manohar Parrikar today shocked the Assembly stating that his government does not know who has promoted the project of Ravindra Bhavan at Sancoale.
“I am still trying to find out who proposed this project, though it is a fact that the GSIDC is constructing it”, said Parrikar.
Mormugao taluka is planning to have two Ravindra Bhavan projects – one at Baina and another one at Sancoale.
This was the result of infighting between then Vasco MLA Jose Philip D’Souza and then Cortalim MLA Mauvin Godinho, which ultimately resulted into two Ravindra Bhavan.
Tivim MLA Kiran Kandolkar has raised the issue of why Mormugao taluka needs two Ravindra Bhavan in close vicinity when the huge Bardez taluka does not even have one.
“I am told that Sancoale panchayat would look after Ravindra Bhavan. But the panchayat is not financially equipped even to bear the cost of cleaning its windows panes”, said Parrikar.
Art and culture minister Dayanand Mandrekar said the rest of Ravindra Bhavan projects, including the one coming up at Baina, would be looked after by his department.
He also assured Kandolkar to take up the project in Bardez shortly.
Mandrekar himself represents Siolim constituency in Bardez taluka.
In fact all seven Bardez-based MLAs are either ruling BJP MLAs or independents supporting the government.
Mandrekar also assured Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida to have a quality check of the ongoing construction of Ravindra Bhavan at Baina.

I wonder to hear that Government of Goa trying to take
2 more Ravindra Bhavan. Can I asked why only Hindu
names are given and why not Christians names are not
available in Goa. My friends MLAs and BJP Christians,
study carefully of those forgotten Dr. Jack Sequire our
opinion poll king and may more catholic why those names
are not framed only Hindu names are framed. Goa belong
to Hindu and where are those catholic gone.
