Rane rules out action against Mauvin
GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 21 March 2013 15:05 IST

Opposition leader Pratapsing Rane has ruled out any action against Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho for not participating in yesterday’s protest in the Assembly.
Godinho had not participated in the pandemonium raised by the opposition in the House in protest of postponing elections of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of City Corporation of Panaji.
Later, Godinho had also praised the budget presented by chief minister Manohar Parrikar.
“I don’t believe in taking action for such things”, Rane told goanews.com, when asked if he proposed to recommend any disciplinary action for his behavior of favouring the ruling BJP.
When brought to his notice that Congress spokesperson Sudip Tamankar had resigned in protest of the party not taking disciplinary action against Godinho, Rane quipped: “He is not my spokesperson.”
