Growing impatience may "flare up", cautions CM

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today expressed apprehension that growing impatience among people in the aftermath of ban on mining activity could precipitate into a "flare-up".

Parrikar said his government has limited options at disposal if such eventuality arises as people are agitated over the loss of livelihood, following an interim ban on mining by Supreme Court last year.

"Things are boiling up slowly in the mining area. I have received a police report about people being impatient (due to closure of mining activity)...Don't be surprised if you find violence or suicide in the mining belt," Parrikar told reporters in Panaji.

The Supreme Court in its interim order on the petition filed by an NGO, Goa Foundation, last year stopped extraction and transportation of ore in the state, pending inquiry by Central Empowered Committee (CEC).

Responding to a query, Parrikar said the government can not do much to stop the situation from deteriorating.

"What can state government do?...Whatever we plan to do, we have already announced through Governor's speech (to the State legislative Assembly session recently)," the chief minister said.

The state government had announced a financial package to the people affected by closure of mining activity.

The Parrikar-led government recently filed an affidavit in the apex court requesting early resumption of mining, which is countered by Goa Foundation on whose petition the supreme court last year imposed interim ban on the activity.

Without naming Claude Alvares, the environmentalist who had filed the petition in supreme court, Parrikar said he was concerned over his safety.

"I am concerned about his (Alvares') safety," he said.

Parrikar said the current situation could be reversed only after resumption of mining activity or dump (low grade rejects piled up on the mining leases) handling.

It is a well known behavior & fact that "COWARDS" and those that are "INSECURE" always make empty threats.

I am sure Mr Parrikar will soon make a remark, that GOA without him, will be doomed.

He believes he is the New Saviour & a modern day or New age Prophet

The only people thay will buy this threat is someone of unsound or disturbed mind.

Mr Parrikars PRIDE & EGO, makes him believe, that everyone in Goa is uneducated...except himself.

He has developed a "Superiority Complex".

Hitler had similar tendencies.He led the German Fatherland into the Second World War & when he lost, in shame, committed suicide.

Mr Parrikar like Hitler, believes, that there will be unrest in Goa due to the halt in mining.

That is a bad concept.

Mr Parrikar is finding it difficult to be truthful .

We do not need your silly advice.

I am sure many Goans sympathise, with the plight of those affected by a halt in Mining.

However ilegalities cannot be allowed to continue.

The Mining issue & illegalities was known in Goa for several years.

It was ignored for many years too.

Why didn`t the mining dependents caution the Politicians about their future concerns on this issue.

Why didn` t the Mining dependents prepare for this eventual halt in Mining?. Were the blind...or plain greedy?

Mr Parrikar won the elections,chiefly on the back & agenda of illegal mining.He was shouting about it at the Legislature.

He was screaming about the PAC report and Rs 4000 crore loss.

Why has he changed his tune,now that he is in power.

Why does Parrikars version of illegality have a new word/meaning ...Irregular.

Illeaglities in any Civilised Societies, cannot be permitted to continue.

They should be rectified at he earliest opportunity.

The opportunity for this has now arrived and in such scenarios, there will always be losers.

Criminals also cry, when they lose their freedoms.

MAny of the Mining Dependens are now ding the same as the Goose that lays the Golden Egg has been taken away.

Millions and Millions of Goans/Indians are now happy that Justice is being seen to be done,where Mining is concerned.It is Pan -India.

Those that are now crying WOLF, are but a few.

They are now looking at The SLY FOX (Parrikar),for help

if parrikar express concern about safety of alvares and then mr faldessai nephew of his party mla and a bjp member himself attacks mr alvares then who is the instigator mr sleeping goenkar? Parrikar cant handle portfolio of home minister he should give it to some one else. If parrikar wants to instigate people he should give up chief ministership and become leader of opposition. if tomarrow mob goes out of control and anything bad happens parrikar alone is responsible. courts did not ban mining. Parrikar banned mining. Alvares pointed to court that parrikar banned mining but is allowing already removed ore to be exported which is like allowing sale of stolen goods and therefore should be stopped. court asked parrikars (goa govt) lawyer he said court may pass any order it wants and then only court passed total ban order. All this is parrikars mess alone if mining affacted people will truely attack they will attack parrikar and bjp workers not alvares. People who attacked are parrikars goondas. No wonder he loves to be called himself a bhaie.

The PARRIKAR MOBSTERS,should have targeted Parrikars blood brother(in arms) Digamber Kamat.

He(Diggu) allowed a wound/disease, to fester, and now the cure is long & Painful.

Every Goan knew it would come someday.Parrikar himself knew it was coming too.He blew his trumpet/bugle about it

Being a TRICKSTER & CONMAN, Parrikar,since coming to power, has now changed his tune.

He fooled every Goan for their votes and he bought them from the donations of the Miners.

An the MINERS....well, they laughed all the way to the BANK (in India & Switzerland & elsewhere) and are still paying Mr Parrikar for providing them with some laughter.

It is quite obvious Mr Parrikar has sold his heart & Soul to the Miners.His heart & soul is available for cash.

Parrikars Morality & Principles are more suitable for the waste bin.He has deposited some in Sonsoddo already.

Julius Ceasar once wrote:Veni, vidi, vici"(Latin) or I came , I saw , I conquered(English)

As For Mr Parrikar: He came ,he saw ,did many U-turns and is now running like hell(tail between his legs).

His big Ego is in the Goan Dustbin , at present.

There is a saying " if you lie(untruth) once, you need 10 other(untruths) lies to support it.

That sums up Mr Parrikar`s current state.

What happened in Margao yesterday was an example of how fascists instigate the people to attack their opponents.Looks like Goa govt. led by Parrikar has lost its balls and wants to 'punish' the dissenters in a different way. It won't protect the genuine activists, but will provide full protection to rich and powerful miners.

Perhaps you are not well informed.

Please note that Mr Parrikar offended the sentiments of Christians by intending to ban Holidays on the most Holiest of their Religious calendar.

You may have learnt (in School or elsewhere) that Hitler, the worlds most well known Facist,hated the Jews.His hate, led to the extermination of 6 million Jews and World War 2.

Mr Parrikar may not be in the same league as Hitler...but you can bet you last Rupee,that he holds such views.

At present he is seen dillying & dallying with Christian MLA`s in Goa.

But most Goans ,specially the Christians & Muslims and many Hindus too are suspicious of his ulterior motives.

There is no better word to describe Mr Parrikar than a sly FOX or FOXY.

So I agree with the view held by Rajan Kamat .

PArrikar is a Dmocrat by name only ...but a Facist, in true spirit & by design.

Dear AC, if you want to know the meaning of fascism, read the saffronized literature and attend some of the Bouddhik (sic) sessions organized to brainwash young minds when they join RSS, especially Golwalkar's writings.

Monubaab is a known RSS cadre, under the influence of Hindu, Hindi, Hindustaan ideology that undermines the diversity of this country and imposes a rigid, casteist ( disguised under the phrase Varnashram dharma) agenda to keep minorities and dissenting voices under the fear ( ditto Hitler and Mussolini style whom Sanghis idolize). This is one side of it. Secondly, Fascists prefer to have puppets and sycophants around them who always say 'yes sir' to them and never question the 'intelligence' of the boss. Show me at least one person whom Parrikar and his blind followers consider to be intelligent and sensible barring his cronies whom he hand picks to appoint on plum posts run on exchequers money. Is it not the sign of fascist style?

And lastly, veiled threats to opponents, the typical gesture when cornered.

I can understand, several hardcore sanghis are not happy with Parrikar who fails at times to represent their fascist stance as he clandestinely compromises with likes of Digambar Kamat, Babush, Ranes and several others . After all, he had gone hammer and tongs against them before the election. Now due to political compulsions has to put his tail between his legs.( I am not yet clear which Mathadheesh is taking him away from the Sangh coterie that monitors him)

But don't worry, the fascists do have to play cat and mouse games for survival in the current political set up.

SO please check definitions of a fascist and look at the way Sangh leaders behave when they assume the power.

The fascist colors of Parrikar are becoming visible with each passing day. He seems to threaten Claude in a typical Bal or Raj Thakeray style who always expressed concern over their opponents' safety.

Have some shame Mr. Parrikar. You are stooping lower than Congresswallas.

You claim to be a highly educated politician but your utterances are like a goon on the street.

Don't you understand your role and duty as a home minister? You seem to be worse than Ravi under whose tenure at least one goon politician like Babush was taught a lesson. Looks like you want to throw a caution that Claude will be the next target of your Bajrangis and Sanatanis.

You will be solely responsible if at all anything untoward happens to Claude or Ramesh Gawas and their families. It is the duty of the government to defend them against the jingoism unleashed by defenders of corruption ans scams.

And your stance clearly shows whom do you want to support. I can understand that lok sabha elections are coming closer. But can't you think about other sources of funds for your party rather than milking the same cow led by Vedanta that filled your coffers?

Your chamchas aggressively defend you all the time but remember, you can't fool all the people all the time.

By now everyone knows your true colours Mr. Parrikar!

What is Parrikar trying to say ? If he concerned about Claude Alvares safety than he is duty bound to give him enough protection by giving him even "Z" class security. Or else he will come to know the meaning of impatience not only of mining workers but also of all the Goans who are suffering due to pollution due to mining.
