All-party convention on 13 Feb for legal mining

The Goa Mining People’s Front is now trying to mobilise political force with a convention on 13 February at Azad Maidan in Panaji.

Front leader Christopher Fonseca has requested all the political parties to shed their differences and unite for the mining affected people’s welfare.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar will also address the convention.

Prior to this convention, Pawar also plans to meet leaders of all the political parties in the morning.

It has been 25 days since the Goa Mining People’s front is holding a dharna at the Azad Maidan in Panaji.

Fonseca has appealed to all the political parties to shed their differences and come together for a genuine cause.

He said the Front wants legal mining to start while taking care of environment, in order to solve the problems genuine workers and traders are facing.
