CM to lead all-party delegation to centre for 'mining package'

Goa government has finally decided to take all-party delegation to Delhi, demanding a package from the central government on mining crisis.

The decision was taken today at a cabinet meeting.

Chief minister Manohar Parrikar told the media persons that the delegation would visit the national capital before Diwali.

Almost all the political parties in the Assembly as well as outside have been demanding compensation for those affected due to stoppage of mining.

Following Justice Shah Commission report on illegal mining in Goa, the Supreme Court has indefinitely suspended all the mining operations in the state.

This has obviously irked the truck owners, barge owners, traders as well as those working on the mines as their livelihood has been threatened.

The loss due to illegal mining has been valued at Rs 35,000 crore.

However, instead of taking steps to recover the money from the mine owners involved in illegal mining, the ruling BJP as well as all other political parties have preferred to compensate it from the pubic treasury, but of the central government.

None of these parties however have been speaking about compensating those who have been affected severely due to illegal mining.

Though they fight with each other, the ruling BJP as well as the opposition Congress are united over the issue of recovering compensation from the public treasury while everybody is silent on recovering it from the mine owners.

So, we are back to square one!

If Mr. Parrikar wants to lead the delegation for seeking the financial assistance from Centre to compensate the mining affected people then what bout the looted Rs. 35,000 crores recovery from the mine owners? They get scot free? They get to keep the looted wealth to enjoy for themselves?

Something is fishy here.

Part of the loot might even go to Swiss or New Jersey bank accounts to keep the mouths shut and no action! Sab milke khayenge!

It is amazing that Mr. Parrikar has ever spelt out any recovery method for this amount. All the affected people, should have been compensated from this looted funds, that needs to be recovered. Instead he is joining hands with the same old congress leaders (sic) to seek the assistance from Delhi.

He will again plead the centre to start the mining to please his colleagues in the Government and the same old mining mafia.

So, why seek to ban the mining in the first place?

Is this again a U turn? I turn? Or All turn?

Why does not he give a call for the recovery of the looted amount?

It is nothing new.

I am not getting the point over here, why are these guys ready to beg at dehli,,

Our Ministers should get an Information technology park so that our Literate & illiterate population could get their livelyhood..there are manys cases wherby many people from goa are finding their luck in Pune,Chennai,Bangalore,Hyderabad

now center is not an enemy of Goa. Why dont u all contribute from your pocket what you have stolen from people of goa, starting with parrikar, digambar and rano.

Its Time we have to get rid of all the three for good.We don't need packages neither do we want minningt at state level. The ore should be conserved.

Goa has a future and you three rascals nor any of the pig headed politicians and their well wisher have the right to sort aid or packages for mining.Bring back the loot and solve your package problems.Its a shame THAT HINDUISM which is thought to conserve nature have destroyed and raped their own mother nature by her Hindu Followers having no regard for nature, religion neither the future of humanity so package for whom?Ravans?Narads?or Swiss banks?

Parrikar stop bluffing and resign.You have a history to jumble fumble and Tumble.BJP has messed up before and its gonna happen again,I can see the smoke signals on the horizon Parri!

"HE WHO PAYS THE PIPER...CALLS THE TUNE.

The BJP & Congress are all "sleeping",very soundly, in the pockets of the Miners.

The only peple that will ever reeive any compensation from the Miners will be the 2 Political Parties.
