Goa Police has lodged an FIR against Congress leader Jitendra Deshprabhu besides three officials of Mines department in connection with a file pertaining to illegal extraction of iron ore gone missing.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandrakant Salgaoncar, former director of mines Arvind Lolienkar and three other officials of the department are also named in the FIR filed by Director of Mines and Geology Prasanna Acharya, sources in the Crime Branch said on Saturday.

Deshprabhu was earlier arrested by Crime Branch for illegally extracting the ore from his property at Pernem taluka and is currently out on bail.

The FIR says the file pertaining to this illegal mining case has been found missing from the Mines department.

When contacted, Deshprabhu denied the allegations.

"This case is a political vendetta against me and I should not be held responsible for any missing file from the department," he said.

The sooner Chandrakant Salgaonkar is completely dismissed from the Goa Police Force, the better it will be.

Salgaonkar has a history, of underworld criminal activity.Using his Police powers, he has managed to circumvent the Law nad benefit from it financially.

If I was to make an honest opinion of Chandrakant Salgaonkar, I would state he is the most corrupt of Police officers.

He is also known for his involvement in the Drug underworld.

His criminal activitu is gradually coming to the surface.

His main protector was ex MLA(Home Minister) Ravi Naik.

Better late than never!

At last the good sense has prevailed over the Goa Government.

Mr. Deshprabju is a frustrated and unsucsessful congress politician of Goa. To keen himself in the lime light he will stoop to any level. He is a an accused in illegal mining and presently out on bail. He must have tried to influence the officials from mining department and paid impressive kickbacks to suspended mining director Mr. Loliencar for a trick to vanish the related file. The amount must have been worthy for Mr.Lolienkars future generations to live in affluence and luxury.

Well, at last, with the FIR Filed hope to see Mr. Deshprabu and his accomplices in Sada Jail very soon , where they can rest for their life.
