Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar did not attend the first day of the state Assembly session today due to the ill health of his son who had to be flown to Mumbai.
Sources close to Parrikar said the condition of his son - Utpal, who is a businessman, is stable.
"Doctors have pronounced that Chief Minister's son is stable now and out of danger," he said without divulging details about the illness of Parrikar's son.
Parrikar lives with Utpal, married couple of years ago, at Porvorim.
As he suddenly started getting pain at midnight, Parrikar rushed him to GMC hospital.
He was then flown to Hinduja hospital in Mumbai.
He would be in the hospital for few days.
Parrikar however is planning to fly back to attend the Assembly session tomorrow.
