Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, the co-owner of the Indian Premier League champions Kolkata Knight Riders, is now on his way to acquire a stake in the Goan football outfit, Dempo.
Confirming that the talks with the superstar about the sale of stake were in the final stages, the club owner, Srinivas Dempo said, "Yes,Shah Rukh Khan is going to take the stake. The deal is almost in the final stages."
He, however, refused to give away any more details. "We can't tell you the percentage (of SRK's stake) right now," Srinivas insisted.
The lawyers had prepared the draft of the deal but finalisation was awaited as Shah Rukh is in London, he informed. Srinivas, meanwhile, said that even after the sale, the name 'Dempo Sports Club' would remain.
