Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has said he will personally interact with investors during the Investment Forum to be held on June 30, to provide them confidence to invest in the state.
"I will be personally present for Goa Investment Forum. Let people have a good feeling about Goa," Parrikar said, confirming his presence for the day-long event where more than 55 big companies are expected to participate.
"Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) are jointly organising the event.
"In certain cases, if a project does not really require much land and investment and is in line with green channel approved by the government, we may agree to their proposal in principle immediately," Parrikar said.
The Chief Minister said that the investors will get results on their plans within a time frame.
"Even if we have to disagree with their investment proposals, we will have to do it within a time frame," he said, adding that the initiative by FICCI and GCCI will be fully supported by the state government.
The forum will emphasise on investment in information technology (IT), IT-enabled services, pharmaceuticals, tourism and entertainment industries.
