Scamsters of Margao defeated me: Damu

Sole defeated Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Damu Naik alleged that scamsters from Margao and illegal mining defeated him in Fatorda, by pouring huge amount of money.
Independent candidate Vijay Sardesai defeated Damu by a margin of 1939 votes.
Sardesai contested independent after he was denied ticket by the Congress last minute.
Congress candidate M K Shaikh could get hardly 660 votes.
Sardesai however could garner almost 10,375 votes against Damu who got 8436 votes.
Two other major rivals of Sardesai also could not damage his prospects as independent Arthur D’Silva polled 1126 votes while Piedade Noronha of Trinamool Congress got hardly 695 votes.
Damu however looks at it as a conspiracy by those whose several scams he had exposed in his total term of nine and a half years of two terms.
He also refuses to believe that anti-incumbency factor was one cause of his defeat.
“Why this factor then did not affect any other BJP MLA”, asked Damu.
He has now offered himself to take up any organizational work of the party.

scamsters of Sanvordem constituency also defeated Arjun Salgaoncar. For the last four years the people of the constituency got cement, bricks for building house for the poor people. A doctor was given free for the treatment along with medicines. The government doctor is not available in the dispancery in the evenings. A free ambulance was also provided. Buses was provided to the neeedy during the marriages.
All this has been stopped after he loosing the elections.
Hope the new BJP Goverment provide doctors in the Government hospital between 10am to 5pm in Collem Village for the betterment of poor villagers.
