I am so happy that all old candidates lost, Its time for new generation to take over all MLA,s should retire after 2 terms so we have new MLA,s and new ideas.
Can you imagine these people are were still
electing Narverkar, who was involved in Cricket gate,
Sunita Haldankar rape, and was involved in selling
land for IT park to Builders lobby. Well Mr Narvenkar at
last he is shown the door Rust in Peace.
All the families dynasty were shown the door.
No more Podon raj

Time for a clean sheet for Goan politics. If BJP gets new candidates hope it can successfully keep the dirty old ones away from them now. Especially when it seems to be the majority. There is no need to include looters cheaters and murders even if elected.
Although the party in itself has got some controversial policies regarding reservation for Muslims. My take is the newly elected need not take the beaten path. Caste and religion is not the scale for reservations but individual abilities. Only the physically challenged and disabled deserve an added opportunity.
New way for Goa. Hope for an able well educated and a humane government to truly save Goa.

This election was an eye opener to over confident politicians of Goa, including some congress heavyweights in Salcette, Bardez and Ponda, poor fellows, couldnt hide their disappointment.
Its really HIGH time that every politician understands that WE, the people are the one who elect them and if they dont "PERFORM" then we will not give them a chance again...
- Prashant Gaonkar, Ponda | 06 th March 2012 15:37
