Shripad wants to know why he is denied ticket

GOANEWS DESK, PANAJI | 26 January 2012 20:27 IST

North Goa BJP MP Shripad Naik is on a war path. He first wants central leadership to tell him why he is being denied Porvorim ticket.

He has also decided not to go for a campaign unless the list of candidates is declared.

BJP president Laxmikant Parsekar, on Wednesday, had expressed hope that Naik would campaign for the BJP in Assembly election.

“Let the official list of BJP candidates confirm that I have been denied ticket, he told a group of media persons today.

If denied ticket, quite a large of number of his supporters had demanded that he should revolt and contest from Porvorim as an independent.

Naik has however ruled out this possibility.

The BJP leader now plans to write to the central leadership, seeking reply to why he was denied the ticket.

Meanwhile, admitting Nilesh Cabral from Curchorem in the BJP has also triggered revolt in Curchorem block.

Cabral, a mining businessman, is tipped to be the BJP candidate.

Curchorem Congress MLA Shyam Satardekar is also a mining businessman.

“Cabral has consistently worked against the BJP. How can we be quiet if such a person is given ticket”, asked Pradeep Naik, president of the Curchorem BJP block.

It is learnt that the local BJP is promoting Venkatesh Prabhudesai as the candidate. is now on Telegram & also Youtube. Kindly subscribe for free & remain updated.

Shripad Naik, when you were made a minister at the center, did you ask them too for an explanation?

When you lost assembly polls in Goa, it was your party that salvage your political career by installing you in Delhi.

You yourself say that you were too much focused on Delhi and did not take any responsibility for any failures that BJP might have had during their tenure or afterwards in Goa.

Now that you sense BJP winning, you want to push your horses for the CM's Kodel. You are a silent assassin man, so ungrateful to your own party. I think you are on the way to becoming another Angle, the ex-BJP MP and a man with an ego larger than his body size! Good luck.

I know all of you guys in the end will take the "adhaar" of the jaat and the backward class and all that crap, this was not expected from you Shripad.
