Abhishek, Ganapathy & Sarvanan to play for Goa Ranji

The Goa Cricket Association completed its professional quota for the Ranji Trophy campaign this season with the signing of three outstation cricketers.
According to a press release by GCA, fast bowler Ganapathy Vignesh, Assam middle-order batsman Vasant Saravanan and Rajasthan Royals' all-rounder Abhishek Raut have been confirmed as the three signings.
The GCA were initially in favour of roping in only one specialist batsman but an injury to fast-bowler Harshad Gadekar paved the way for Vignesh to make the cut.
The fragile middle-order was strengthened with another professional signing.
Intrestingly, two of the professional cricketers- Vignesh and Saravanan returned to the mainstream cricket only recently after flirting with the rebel Indian Cricket Lague (ICL).
Abhishek Raut however is an established player in the high profile Indian Premier League(IPL) with Rajasthan Royals, the release added.
