Nitin Gadkari with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat
Ram Mandir is not an issue of political parties. There should not be vote bank politics on this issue.
This statement is made by.... BJP national president Nitin Gadkari. In an exclusive interview to local TV channel Prudent during his maiden visit to Goa, Gadkari said the issue of Ram temple should be left to Sadhus and Saints and not political parties.
He told Pramod Acharya, news editor of Prudent, that the government should work on an amicable solution on the issue of the disputed site and resolve it.
According to Gadkari, Lord Ram is a symbol of faith. He kept on saying the same thing when he was asked whether the BJP would not raise the Ram temple issue any more or whether it was wrong on the part of the BJP to make it a political issue.
Gadkari claimed that the BJP voiced out the sentiments of the people of India in the name of Ram temple issue at that time. He also disagreed that the BJP tried to get the Ram temple rebuilt at the disputed site through violence.
According to BJP president, Hindu never built any temple by demolishing any site. "We believed in tolerance and we would believe in tolerance", he said.
Hindutwa itself is the symbol of tolerance, good governance and non-discrimination, claimed Gadkari.
He alleged that it is the Congress party that has created wrong impression about Hindutwa, claiming it to be anti-Muslim, anti-Christian and communal.

Yes indeed! Tolerance was shown when Nuns were raped in Gujarat, Tolerance was shown when a nun was gang raped and paraded naked in the streets of Orissa, Tolerance was shown when priests were killed. Finally tolerance is shown by BJP for convertees and accusing of false forced conversions.

Hinduism is the oldest religion and Gagkari is right "
Hindu never built any temple by demolishing any site". Other religions did this and Goa cannot deny this fact. If Shroud of Turin was given to the scientific world to prove its authenticity and considered to be fraud, then all religions must have the freedom of tolerance to prove the world "Authenticity of existence of Ram Temple" on the said site.
