Will you; Ms Alina?

I am deeply disturbed and distressed by the abominable comment made by some low life railway engineer, calling my good friend MLA, Ms Alina Saldanha, a “Portuguese”.

This affront to a loyal BJP soldier, in our Goa Dourada, is appalling to say the least.

And I am proud of Alina, for taking up cudgels for the Goan Catholic community, thus insulted and am glad that the CM, Dr Pramod Sawant is spending sleepless nights, pondering over the issue.

I am absolutely certain that Ms Alina Saldanha will also be vehemently vocal and up in arms when many of her comrades in the BJP, locally and nationally, abuse genuine Indian Muslim citizens as “Pakistanis” in the most vile and derogatory manner.

Also while she is at it, for the sake of her many left friends (and devoted colleagues of Matanhy) could she also whisper to the powers that be not to continuously brand them the "tukde tukde gang” or “urban naxals” and troll these left ideologues with language most vile; even violent?

Certainly the left /centrist parties should also use more civilised language against their right wing adversaries, but can we hope that Ms Saldanha will trigger a civilised discourse from her colleagues in power with ALL Indian citizens??

I am glad she has found her “inner voice outrage" over this Portuguese slur issue.

I hope she can discover her conscience, in totality, and go the whole nine yards, on the issue of vitriol, abuse and slander her party simply excels in.
